DongLin Lake Scenic Area is 20 km from the southwest of Zhengzhou City and 16 km from the southeast of Xingyang City. It was named after DongLin Temple, an ancient building which is located in DongLin Lake Scenic Area and has a history of 1,800 years.

DongLin Lake Scenic Area covers a total area of 5 sq. km, including more than 1,000 mu for DongLin Lake whose surface is smooth and sparkling like a mirror and shape is like that of a prancing dragon-horse and more than 1,600 mu for a wetland park which has a vegetation coverage rate of beyond 80% and is a veritable natural oxygen bar by virtue of many precious animal and plant resources.
